About me

I am currently a sophomore marketing student at North Carolina Central University. In high school, I was mainly taught how to utilize graphic design software such as Canva to where I could create flyers. I grew interested in shoes, and this passion led me to start selling shoes on online marketplaces such as eBay and Mercari. This became a fun thing for me, and this interest led to me starting a shoe-selling business during my first year of college in 2020. With my business, I quickly realized that marketing would be one of the critical aspects within it, and I found a passion for discovering effective and engaging marketing methods.

For three years, I grew the social media account of my shoe business @FTKICKS_ from 0 followers to over a thousand followers. Social media is not the only field in which I gained experience, as when I moved to Dallas, I gained experience with door-to-door marketing—going up to people's doors and convincing former spectrum subscribers to return to the company. In addition, I currently do marketing by creating flyers for my father's church, People, Christian Church in Durham, NC, and creating flyers and content for multiple organizations on the NCCU campus.

Social Media

As the business owner of FTKICKS I was in charge of managing all the business decisions and marketing of the Instagram account. I was able to grow the account from 0 followers to over 1,000 in 2 years without the use of ads, or any form of paid advertising just pure organic marketing.

I have done many flyers and social media posts for different organizations. These organizations include student organizations on the NCCU campus, like ASFABA and the Entrepreneurship Club. I have also done much work with my father’s church, People Christian Church, in Durham, NC.

In the past I have created and edited videos to the point where I can confidently say this is a skill of mines. When I was living in the Dallas area I found myself getting into videography
